Church membership is less about having rights and more about having responsibilities. In other words, membership isn’t so much about what the church can do for you as much as it is about what you can do for others.

To belong to this community means becoming an owner of the mission here. If you think about the difference between renting and owning a home, there are different responsibilities associated with each. Church membership is about owning this home, belonging to something bigger, and being an active participant in the health of this family.
