FREE MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

Can we get super real for a minute? So many people in our community are silently struggling with mental health during this season. Depression, anxiety, and even suicide rates are rising right now and we believe we can do something about it for our neighbors. To be totally honest, many of us are battling the same anxiety you may be. Reaching out can be one of the hardest yet most courageous things you could possibly do in this season. Here are two incredibly important mental health resources we want to offer totally free to YOU, no strings attached:⁣

•Comfort Zone is a mental health huddle on Thursdays at 8PM. This is for people of all ages who simply need to know they are not alone. During these huddles, we will share resources and support during this tough season. It happens digitally and you can get the info by texting nlzoom to 31996 or emailing shel@newlifewayland.org if you have questions.⁣

•If you feel like you could benefit from professional counseling, we would love to pay for a digital session for you with a local licensed counselor. After one session, we would love to walk with you through options for more sessions. You can also confidentially email shel@newlifewayland.org if you want to get connected with a free counselor.⁣

HAND2HAND

Hand2Hand feeds families with food insecurities in Wayland. Since this crisis began, we have collected and donated over 1600 pounds of food to local families. We always have food donation needs. FACE MASKS

So far, 1000 masks have been made and donated to local organizations like Pine Rest, Bethany Christian Services, Cherry Health Services, Samaritas, and local Wayland care facilities. If you would like to get involved in sewing or delivering masks, you can email Lori Baar: lori@newlifewayland.org
